The Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte said on Tuesday that he regretted comments he made about U.S. president Barack Obama which came to Obama as a personal attack on the U.S president. The comments made by Duterte led to the cancellation of a meeting between the two leaders of the allied nations.
President Duterte further explained that the press and medias reports that President Obama would give him a lecture on extrajudicial killings, which led to his strong comments about Obama, and in turn elicited concern. Duterte comments about Obama, which he made in Philippine language was translated to English as a son of a bitch.
"He regrets that his remarks to the press have caused much controversy," according to reports in Laos.
I am sorry President Obama, Duterte was only angry before he made that comments. No man is error free.
