Alex Iwobi impresses me - Sir Alex Ferguson says

Legendary football coach Sir Alex Ferguson has given his endorsement of the talent of young Super Eagles attacker Alex Iwobi while also posturing Arsenal, Iwobi's club, as premier league title challengers this season.

Arsenal sit pretty good at the upper echelon of the EPL table and Iwobi has been instrumental providing 3 assists so far, and Sir Alex Ferguson, who won a record 13 Premier League titles as United manager, believes Iwobi has helped to make Arsenal more competitive.

"You shouldn't forget Arsenal (in the title race)," Ferguson said in an interview with German magazine, Kicker.

"The team is more sturdy, they've got better and more aggressive. I'm impressed with the young boy Iwobi."

He also praised Liverpool's manager Jurgen Klopp and Jose Mourinho and gave his say on who he thought were title challengers..

"It can happen that big clubs lose it (their identity). For two decades, Liverpool changed managers without building their own identity.

"You can now well and truly sense that you have to count them in this year. You can see Klopp's dedication on the sideline - I'm convinced his work in training is similar. He's a strong personality. That's absolutely vital at a big club."

"I think there are five potential candidates," he said. "Manchester City as favourites, Tottenham and Liverpool, but also United are still there if we get some consistency soon. Even when you are trailing by six, eight points, it's still possible to catch one or two teams.

"Guardiola's skills are beyond debate, Antonio Conte is getting Chelsea on track, but Mourinho can also rival Guardiola - he's won the Champions League with two different clubs and titles in three different countries.
"For my money Mauricio Pochettino has fantastic potential. Spurs have a good mix of youth and experience. Top players like [Harry] Kane or [Eric] Dier were injured but they're still in a good position."

Donald Trump wants the election to be cancel and automatically declare him the winner - Old Fool

Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump keeps saying that election is rigged because he is losing. He wouldn't have said that election is rigged, if he was wining.
Dump Trump-  Hilary Clinton for President.

Donald Trump on Thursday joked during a rally at Ohio, a key state in the U.S elections, that he'd like the election to be cancelled and he be 'declared the winner' due to Hillary Clinton's bad policies.

"Just thinking to myself right now, we should just cancel the election and just give it to Trump,"
"Her policies are so bad. Boy, do we have a big difference,"

Trump also mocked Hillary saying she had 'low energy' even asking the crowd at his rally who they thought had a lower energy between Clinton and his republican party presidential nomination rival Jeb Bush.

"Who is more low energy, Jeb Bush or Hillary Clinton?" Trump asked the crowd

"Hillary!" replied most of the crowd.

Earlier on Thursday, the Republican presidential nominee was near Columbus, talking to supporters in Springfield. He was also in Toledo. The Billionaire business man continues to insist the election is rigged.

He says election is rigged because he is losing. He wouldn't have said that election is rigged, if he was wining.

5 ways any Nigerian/Anybody in the World can become financially stable - Must Read

With the current state of the economy in Nigeria, many people are finding it rather hard to stay in control of their finances and maintain a measure of stability. A number of them have either had to change their lifestyle or have gotten into debt to salvage their situation in a bid to stay stable; but have failed to achieve financial security.

The truth is simple, getting your finances stable and becoming financially successful requires the development of good financial habits. We at Jumia Travel have been researching this dilemma and we have come up with a number of solutions. We therefore list 5 ways any Nigerian looking to be financially stable can achieve his or her goal.

1.Desist from impulse spending

Discipline is very important when it comes to finance, especially if you are looking to be secure in this aspect. A huge problem that most Nigerians battle with is impulse spending. Nigerians generally love to have fun and treat themselves with eating out and shopping and online purchases. Unfortunately, these activities, while they may offer pleasure, can easily be a huge drain on finances. To remain financially stable, Nigerians need to discipline themselves and avoid spending money either on impulse or on unnecessary things.

2.Save or invest

It’s amazing that a large number of Nigerians who look well-to-do do not have any form of savings. If your goal is to be financially stable, saving and investing should be your top priority. Have a set amount automatically transferred from your checking account to your savings every month and set it in such a way that you do not have easy access to it except in the case of emergencies or you want to invest it.

3.Keep tabs on your expenses

This may seem tedious, but it is very essential. Ensure you keep track of  your expenses. Record your expenses in a diary and always calculate it to know how you’re spending your money, and see what you can cut out or reduce.

4.Ensure you pay bills immediately

A good way to maintain financial security is to pay bills immediately they come in. If it is a bill that you have to pay monthly or regularly, you can arrange with your bank for regular automatic payments. This way, all of your regular expenses in your budget are taken care of.

5.Stay away from debt

There is a famous adage that goes “he that goes a borrowing, goes a sorrowing.” No matter your situation, make up your mind not to borrow or go into debt. Try to cut your coat according to your material. If you are already in debts, list them out and arrange them in order from smallest balance at the top to largest at the bottom. Then focus on the debt at the top, putting as much as you can into it, until it is all paid off. Then you can start on a fresh slate.

I would have ordered Amaechi's arrest, If I were a Supreme Court judge' - Segun Oni says

In view of the recent arrest of some judges over allegations of corruption, former Ekiti state governor and Deputy National Chairman (South) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Segun Oni says if he was a supreme court judge, he would have arrested former Rivers state governor now Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi.

Oni said this while reacting to claims by two of the arrested judges, Justices Sylvester Ngwuta and Justice John Okoro, that Amaechi when he was still governor, approached them with bribe so they can influence the election petitions results of some state elections.

Speaking to some journalists yesterday, Oni said if the Supreme court judges were indeed upright, they would have ordered the arrest of Amaechi immediately he approached them with bribe.
“I am not in the position to defend Amaechi, but I feel very very sad. I am very sad that a justice of the Supreme Court could come up much later to say somebody attempted to bribe him. If I am a justice of the Supreme Court, that person would not spend another week before he is arrested. So, because it is a crime, if you see somebody committing crime and you keep quiet and now you are talking about it, do you want people to take you seriously? It’s like somebody saying I saw somebody committed rape last year and I didn’t do anything about it. I don’t think that sounds wise. I am not exonerating anybody and there can be investigation.”Oni said

4 ways you can boost your chances for startups loans- Must Read

For any start-up idea to move from the idea stage to realization, it requires a lot of resources, and one thing that can quickly take a great idea from a hobby to a full-blown business is money. Unfortunately, raising funds, particularly, getting a loan for a startup can be an ordeal for anyone, especially Nigerians. Jumia Travel, Africa’s No.1 online hotel booking site shares 4 ways Nigerian founders can boost their chances for start-up loans.

1. Ensure your personal capital is substantial

It may come as a surprise, but lenders actually want to see that you have some “skin in the game” before they can consider your application or request. For instance, some banks will typically want you to have at least a 20% down payment on a conventional loan for a new business. Ensure you save up as much money as you can when you are planning to launch a startup, and be ready to show documents confirming your personal income and investments.

2.Prepare a business plan

Business plans are very essential for any founder who is looking to get a loan. Lenders want to see a solid, well-thought-out business plan, as they believe that a business plan is a road-map for how the business will fare in the next few years. Work towards discussing at least the following in your business plan: description of the service or product your startup will provide, experience and qualifications for you and (if applicable) your management team, market analysis, marketing plan, financial projections, and basically, other information that you know the lender may require.

3.Emphasize prior industry and management experience

From any lender’s perspective, experience is considered the true teacher of all things. When searching for startup financing, your past experience is essentially predictive of your potential for success as a business owner, hence the likelihood that you will pay back the loan. Therefore, when submitting a resume with your loan application, it is essential that you highlight relevant industry and business management experience. For instance, if you want to open an online book store, it really helps to have a few years under your belt as a librarian at a leading institution.

4.Consider putting up a collateral

Collateral basically includes home equity, stock, cash savings or deposits, equipment, business inventory, or other hard assets. To increase your chances of getting a loan, take out time and closely peruse your personal assets, then decide on which of your assets you are willing to put up as collateral. If you are able to provide 100% collateral for the loan amount you are requesting for,  your chances of acquiring a business loan will automatically be higher than those who could not. Keep in mind however that when you pledge the asset as collateral and your business goes under, the bank has the right to confiscate the asset and sell it to recoup its money.
