
The Federal Bureau of Investigation claimed that they found an evidence that foreign hackers penetrated two states election databases in recent weeks, prompting the Bureau to warn election officials across the country to beef up their computer security systems, according to reports from federal and state law enforcement officials.
The FBI warning, contained in a "flash" alert from the FBI's Cyber Division , a copy of which was obtained by Yahoo News, it comes and heightened concerns among U.S. intelligence officials about the possibility of cyber-intrusions, potentially by Russian state sponsored hackers, aimed at disrupting the November elections.
"Specific or credible cyber-security threats to the election'" One of the official said.

It wasn't an eye opener, we believe it's kind of serious, and we are investigating." One of the senior law enforcement official said.
FBI bulletin listed about eight separate IP addresses that were the source of the the two attacks and suggested that the attacks may have been linked, nothing that one of the IP addresses was used in both intrusions.
