The Super Eagles of Nigeria captain John Mikel Obi made it known to public that he is so proud to lead Nigeria's Dream Team VI to Rio Olympic Bronze medal. Nigeria defeated Honduras by 3 goals to 2 to become the third best team in men's Olympic football.
"To lead this team to an Olympic medal, and make Nigerians proud. This is why i played football." The Chelsea midfielder tweeted.
We could recall that Nigeria won gold medal in Atlanta 96 to make history as the first African team to win Olympic gold medal in men's football categories, and they were also close to it in Beijing 2008 after Argentina denied them of making another history. Nigeria settled for silver medal in 2008 as the second best team.
