Snoop Dog an American rapper who is not related to Nigeria put to Instagram to celebrate a Nigerian Rowing athletes who sponsored herself to Rio Olympic and who also won a silver medal at the Olympic Rowing event. Chierika Ukogu is the first Nigerian to ever participate in the Olympic Rowing event.
He wrote, "While we cheer for the Dream Team of Nigeria, let's celebrate Chierika Ukogu who sponsored herself to the Rio Olympics to represent Nigeria in a competition no Nigerian has even taken part in. She won a silver medal today, Nigeria first!"
Who knows maybe the rapper has been following Nigeria's team at the Rio Olympic, for him to have known that Nigerians have been cheering and praising the Dream Team who suffered a defeat to the German side yesterday. Dream Team will play for Bronze medals against Honduras on Saturday.
