Nairobi News reports that Meschack Wanyama confirmed in a brief Facebook post on Saturday that he was switching allegiance to Tottenham Hotspur, a club his younger brother now plays for.
“Help me wish Tottenham victory after officially parting ways with Arsenal,” Meshack, a Nairobi businessman, declared in a brief post, hours before the start of the 2016/2017 English Premier League season.
He also uploaded a picture of himself donning a brand new Tottenham replica jersey. Meshack has been an Arsenal fan for the better part of the last decade.
So attached was he to Arsene Wenger outfit, that he named his first born son Walcott in recognition of the Gunners English forward talents.
The senior Wanyama has however, albeit understandably, opted to decamp from religiously supporting the Arsene Wenger managed side, in favour of Mauricio Pocchettino’s outfit.
