Plane carrying Brazilian football club team crashed in Colombia - More than 60 on board confirmed dead

A plane carrying Brazilian football team, Chapecoensea has crashed in Colombia. The flight was transporting the footballers, the technical team and others to Medellin airport for the team's match against Atletico Nacional when the plane disappeared off radar late last night.

There were 72 passengers and 9 crew on board the charter plane. Officials from Jose Maria Cordova International Airport released a statement reporting only six survivors..

The plane reportedly crashed due to lack of fuel at around 10.15pm local time. More later.
