4 dead in London terror attack

Parliament terror attack – Four dead and others ‘catastrophically’ injured after 4×4 mows down a dozen people on Westminster Bridge

AT least four people, including a cop and the attacker, have died and numerous others are “catastrophically” injured after a 4×4 mowed down a dozen pedestrians on Westminster Bridge before a knifeman stormed Parliament and stabbed the officer.
The attacker, who was wielding knives, was shot by police after injuring at least 20 in the terror attack in the capital this afternoon.

Pictures of a man believed to be the suspect have emerged and show a blade lying on the cobbled street next to him.
The BBC earlier reported a second suspect was being hunted but police have said they are satisfied there was only attacker but it would be foolish to dismiss accomplices as they warned Londoners to be wary of copycat attacks.

The Met spokesman said: “We have lost one of our own as he acted to protect the public.
“This is a day we planned for but hoped would never happen. Sadly it is
now a reality.

The suspect was shot by police after stabbing a cop, with three officers injured in the attack.
Paramedics were seen tending to him as armed cops trained their rifles on his stripped body outside Parliament.

Other dramatic pictures show the bloodied bodies of victims littering Westminster bridge as heroic bystanders desperately try to save the lives of those "catastrophically" injured.
Among them were MP Tobias Ellwood who gave the police officer mouth-to-mouth.
Me Ellwood's brother was killed in the Bali bombings in 2002.

One woman died after being flung under a bus on Westminster Bridge as the 4x4 ploughed through the crowds. It is believed at least one more of the four fatalities were struck on the bridge.
Cops also confirmed at least 20 people were injured.

Another person was thrown into the River Thames and is currently being treated by paramedics with serious injuries.
Earlier reports suggested sounds of an explosion were heard but this has not been confirmed.
