The European Parliament voted for the visa-free travel for Ukraine in EU & non EU Schenghen zones

Today, on April 6, the European Parliament voted to abolish short-term Schengen visas for Ukrainians. This decision was supported by 521 deputies, 75 - against, 36 - abstained.

What next? - Next, the issue of visa-free travel for Ukraine will be considered by the Committee of Permanent Representatives and the Council of Ministers of the EU. It will be held on April 26th.

If the decision is positive, the document will be signed and published in the official journal of the European Union. And then in 20 days the visa-free regime will come into force. The approximate date is 11 June.

Who will be able to travel without visa? The owners of biometric passports will receive visa-free travel.

You can travel for 90 days every six months without the right to work, to all EU countries, except Great Britain and Ireland.

And Ukrainians will be able to travel without visas to four countries that are not part of the EU, but are in the Schengen zone - Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland.

But as explained earlier in the European Commission, after the introduction of a visa-free regime, citizens of Ukraine will need to provide documents, at the request of customs officials, confirming the proper financial position and purpose of travel.

Border guards in theory may require to show proof of residence, the invitation or reservation of a hotel, as well as a return ticket and guarantees of financial solvency - an extract from a bank account.
слава Україні.. Glory to Ukraine.. You will get there soon
