Nigerian afro pop artist Wizkid Ayo Balogun has been named as the best international artist of the year, after defeating Jay Z, Drake, Dj Khaled, Migos, Solange, SZA and Kendrick Lamar at the just concluded Mobo Awards in Best International Act category.
Wizkid is the first African artist to win that category at Mobo Awards. The award cermoney was held at Leeds in the United Kingdom.
Davido also won Best African Act.
Former President of Nigeria, President Good luck Jonathan congratulated Wizkid, Senator Ben Murray also put to his twitter to congratulate Wizkid on his international victory. Sony Music also congratulates Wizkid for defeating those giants in the world's music industry.
Congratulations to both of them for making Nigeria and Africa proud.. More grace to your elbows.
