Dubai Police sets 'fastest patrol supercar' world record


Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander in Chief of Dubai Police, received the Guinness certificate from the Guinness Book of World Records for the fastest police patrol in the world, using the Bugatti Veyron sports car.

The speed of the Bugatti Veyron sports car, the fastest patrol car in the world, can reach 407 kilometres per hour at 1,000 horsepower, surpassing the previous police patrol record that was registered under a USA police force using a Lamborghini sports car, which reached a speed of 360 kilometres per hour.

Dubai Police's fleet of patrol cars, which include the following models: McLaren MP4-12C, Lamborghini Aventador, Ferrari FF, Mercedes SLS AMG, Roush Mustang, Bentley Continental GT, Audi R8 V01 Plus, Aston Martin One-77, Nissan GTR and Mercedes SL36 AMG. Also included are the BMW M6 Gran Coupe and Mercedes G36 AMG, modified by Brabus. #IthoughtYouKnew
