Point of correction to some of you who think a suspect should be treated like what you see in that video. I didn't study law or criminalism, but what i know is that police job is to arrest suspects, take suspects to police station.
Suspects should be torture in police if it requires torture, in order to confess for vital information needed to help them with their investigations. "Provided it requires torture" because not all suspects required torture. But all suspects are innocent until found guilty.
Police do not have any right to pick up anyone on the street, start beating , harassing and torturing the person on the street. What you see in that video is not right. What if that suspect dies in that process of beating the suspect? That is a murder if a suspect dies in the process of unlawfully beating the suspect on the street.
There is different between to arrest and to shoot directly to arm robbers in robbery scene. Police shoot at robbers because they are armed. That is a different case entirely.
What you see in that video has been like that long way back. It's been like that many years ago. You only think it just started, because we have social media like Instagram and Facebook that are helping us to quickly disseminate information or quickly spread information to the world.
Such atrocity you see in that video would have happened 8 years ago without many people knowing or noticing, except some people who were around at that moment or few people who were there when it was happening.
But now, we can quickly take videos and quickly post it and before you know it, videos are everywhere and they become viral videos. Thanks to Instagram, Facebook and Android phones.
